According to TMZ, allegedly suffered a drug overdose just days before his . The news comes on the heels of confusion about rumors that the singer died from flu complications.
The dark revelation all goes back to the icon’s . While Prince’s people argued that the legend was simply suffering from a sickness, sources at the medical facility argue he was administered a “save shot”, which is a jargon for a drug antidote used in emergency situations.
While the 57-year-old was urged by doctors to stay a full 24 hours after the shot was administered, he and his team left the hospital because there wasn’t a private room available. The musician returned home just 3 hours after checking into the facility.
To make matters worse, observers at the hospital say Prince was “not doing well” upon his departure.
Once authorities in Minnesota are able to get access to his medical records, they’ll be able to better determine the cause of death.
