Lacoste’s refreshingly minimal take on luxe winter sportswear was characterised by oversized jumpers and coats and a mixture of dark browns and navys, safe for a pop of bright pink. The collection was edgy and contemporary and quite modern. A matching velvet, quilted jumper and loose flares were one of our personal favourite pieces from the show, the jumper is certainly on our wish list.
Backstage the makeup artists were working on creating a laid back, cool-girl look. The reference was for the models to look natural but windswept, as if they’d just been outside in the cold. the fresh faced, outdoor flush was created using Mac’s new strobe creams, which they debuted backstage at the show.
The two new shades peach, and red were used depending on the models skin. peach was applied to darker skin across the eyelids and cheekbones, while red was used on paler complexions to get a natural looking blush. in contrast to the dewey highlight, the skin was kept completely matte by using a combination of Mac’s Mineralise Charged Water Moisture Gel, £29 and a water spray.
The hair was also made to look naturally windswept, stylists used Bumble and Bumbles Primer Spray, £20.50, on all the girls but Bumble and Bumbles new Bb Curl Style Anti-Humidity Gel-Oil was used on models with curly hair. Each girls unique natural curl or wave was enhanced.
Until Mac’s new strobe creams hit stores get your hands on the original Mac Strobe Cream, £24.50.
