Leonardo DiCaprio had every woman in the room swooning with his heartfelt (and totally adorable) speech at the 2016 BAFTAs.
The 41-year-old took to the stage at this year’s awards to accept the Best Leading Actor gong for The Revenant (well, as he wouldn’t win).

Looking every inch the dapper Hollywood heartthrob, Leo first announced that he was ‘humbled and absolutely honoured by the award.’ Naww.
Going on to thank the British actors who had inspired him to get into the industry, citing silver screen greats such as Tom Courtenay, Peter O’Toole and Gary Oldman, DiCaprio then gave a special thanks to new pal and co-star Tom Hardy for his ‘loyalty’ during the filming.

‘There’s one person I have to thank,’ Leo said. ‘I would not be standing up here is it weren’t for this person. I didn’t grow up in a life of privilege – I grew up in a very rough neighborhood in East Los Angeles and this women drove me for three hours a day to a different school to show me a different opportunity.’
‘It is her birthday today. So Mom, happy birthday. I love you very much’, he said.
CAN’T HANDLE THE CUTENESS. As much as we’d hoped it would be about Kate Winslet, those words about mama DiCaprio were just as adorable.
After the ceremony, Leo and Kate did have the sweet reunion we always look out for, with the old friends cosying up with their respective gongs at the after-party.
