Demi Lovato, 23, totally slays in her new music video for “Stone Cold” and we can’t get enough of her stripped-down vocals paired against a snow-capped mountain backdrop. Her breathtaking video is completely magical and we’ve never quite seen Demi in this light before. She gave us some hints that this would be a vid to watch out for, but never did we imagine something quite so thrilling!
The soaring ballad begins with Demi sitting makeup free, clothed and soaking wet in a bath tub as she belts out the heartbreaking lyrics while fighting back tears. After the first chorus passes, some of the action moves outside to a snowy mountain setting where she looks stunning in a light gray coat with fur lining and a scarf while she wanders about the elements. Her vocal range on this song is mind blowing and we can’t wait to see her perform this gem live!

In an interview leading up to her album’s release, she noted that this was the one song she felt could earn her a Grammy nomination — wow! “Stone Cold” is the third single from Demi’s new album Confident as it follows the release of the album’s lead single “Cool for the Summer” and its follow-up, “Confident.” We can’t wait to see what the rest of her killer album has in store — hey Grammy committee, are you listening?
Her music video success comes on the heels of a super controversial and public diss towards none other than America’s sweetheart, Taylor Swift, 26! After Taylor donated $250,000 to help Kesha with her legal troubles, Demi threw some major Twitter shade at Taylor for not “doing enough,” which she then defended when Swifties started bashing her. We hope fans don’t turn on her during her big moment with “Stone Cold,” but after all, this vid is way too hot to ignore!
