‘You’re a Leader, Sir!’ Tapper Grills Trump Over ‘Encouraging’ Rally Violence

CNN’s Jake Tapper spoke with Donald Trump this morning and really, really grilled him over how he has constantly raised the temperature at his rallies and egged on violence instead of doing what leaders are supposed to do.

Trump insisted that “in many cases I do lower the temperature” and again blamed the Bernie Sanders campaign for sending “professional disruptors.” And because this is Trump, he complained to Tapper about CNN’s supposedly unfair coverage of his decision to call off the Chicago rally.

Tapper tried again to get the GOP frontrunner to acknowledge his own problems, saying, “You’re a leader, sir!”

Trump proceeded to trash his rivals and say that aside from this week, no one has been injured at his rallies.

Tapper ended the interview by actually asking Trump “as a fellow American” to consider “dialing down the temperature.”
