As Kirsten’s (Emma Ishta) search for her father languishes with no new leads, Tuesday’s (April 5) episode of “Stitchers” takes on a “Criminal Minds” type of vibe, as the team hunts down a serial killer called The Ripper.
Their investigation starts with the murder of Fisher’s (Damon Dayoub) mentor, who is looking into a cold-case killer called The Ripper. When Kirsten stitches into her memories and realizes that the murder board of evidence was taken by the killer, the team realizes that they’re not just hunting a murderer, they’re hunting a serial killer.

Meanwhile, Cameron (Kyle Harris) continues to live on edge with his new lease on life. He may have put his dreams of a motorcycle aside for now, but that doesn’t mean his new lifestyle is any less dangerous.
After chasing down a violent suspect and then nearly starting a bar fight with a potential killer, it’s safe to say that if Cameron doesn’t tone things down, he’s going to end up hurt.
We also meet Camille’s (Allison Scagliotti) screw-up brother, Theo (Logan Paul), whom Linus (Ritesh Rajan) is particularly eager to meet, until Theo’s volatile nature ends up causing problems.
In light of the rather heavy tone of the episode (serial killers don’t exactly bring happy thoughts to mind), Camille’s side-story is a breath of fresh air. Theo also gives us some insight into Camille’s past, what she was like growing up and how far she’s come since then.

It also has the added bonus of pushing Linus and Camille closer together. Nothing says romance like standing up for a girl when her big brother is trying to tear her down. It’s just too bad Theo retaliated by ransacking his apartment.
After Kirsten and Fisher save Cameron from the clutches of the killer, it may be time to wonder if Cameron will turn his “carpe diem” lifestyle away from danger and towards his love life. After all, The Ripper was definitely a murderous psycho, but he wasn’t necessarily wrong when he urged Cameron to act on his feelings for Kirsten.
Giving Kirsten the time and space to deal with her feelings is definitely the smart and gentlemanly move, but let’s hope she figures it out sooner rather than later.
“Stitchers” airs Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on Freeform.
