The next two Pokemon games are coming to 3DS in time for holiday 2016, and they are indeed Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon. Nintendo confirmed the pair of new Pokemon titles in a brief Pokemon Direct presentation held on Friday, though it stopped short of showing anything about the games aside from the fact that they’ll support nine languages.
Nintendo also revealed that the Pokemon Red, Blue, and Yellow re-releases coming to the 3DS eShop tomorrow will be compatible with the Pokemon Bank app. That means, for the first time ever, you’ll be able to move your Generation 1 Pokemon all the way up to your current team. Unfortunately, there’s still no (legitimate) way to get them off of original copies, but you can always recreate your old stalwarts on 3DS.
