A week ahead of the second season premiere of “Daredevil,” Marvel and Netflix have announced a September 30th premiere date for the first season of their third series together – “Luke Cage”.
Following a sabotaged experiment leaving him with super strength and unbreakable skin, Luke Cage becomes a fugitive trying to rebuild his life in modern day Harlem. He is soon pulled out of the shadows and must fight a battle for the heart of his city.
Colter is joined by Simone Missick as Misty Knight, Frank Whaley as Rafael Scarfe, Mahershala Ali as Cottonmouth, Theo Rossi as Shades, Alfre Woodard as Mariah Dillard, and Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple.
Cheo Hodari Coker (“Notorious,” “NCIS: Los Angeles”) will serve as executive producer and showrunner of the anticipated series and will pen the first two episodes.
