Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda has a smash Broadway musical to his name, but Star Wars fans know him better as the guy who wrote the cantina song from The Force Awakens. During his daily #Ham4Ham sidewalk performance, Miranda appealed to intergalactic nerds by teaming with J.J. Abrams for a surprise rendition of “Jabba Flow”, which the two composed together after meeting at a Hamilton performance last year.
Turns out “Jabba Flow” is actually sung entirely in Huttese, Jabba the Hutt’s first language. According to Manuel, the song’s lyrics translate to “No, lover, lover, it wasn’t me,” which essentially makes it a “Shaggy intergalactic remix.” The notorious playboy Jabba would undoubtedly approve.
As Rolling Stone notes, “Jabba Flow” was made available to download on the iTunes Music store immediately following the #Ham4Ham performance. The track is also available to stream on the Star Wars official site.
