eOne, Fox Expand Intl Home Entertainment Partnership; Create Canada JV

The new deal between eOne and 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment builds on the companies’ long-standing distribution alliance in Australia and Spain. Under the long-term, multi-territory pact unveiled today, the partnership will now include the UK and Benelux. The companies are also creating a new home entertainment joint venture in Canada to handle their combined direct account home entertainment business.

Fox will manage sales and distribution services on DVD and Blu-ray on behalf of eOne for film, television and family home entertainment titles in the UK, Ireland, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Spain and Australia. Fox will also take on exclusive U.S. marketing and sales efforts on physical home entertainment for the hugely popular pre-school brand, Peppa Pig.

Upcoming titles under the new Canadian JV include The Hateful Eight, The Peanuts Movie, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 and Alvin And The Chipmunks: The Road Chip.
