Is Brittany Murphy’s ghost haunting her friends Taryn Manning and Jamie Pressly?
Murphy may have passed away in 2009 but it seems her ghost is still living on, in Hollywood no less. Recently two of Brittany’s good friends, Manning and Pressly have claimed to have encountered the ghost of the late actress.
According to TMZ, Manning was the DJ at a party for H&M clothing store, when Murhpy’s ghost made an appearance. The OITNB star black played the Eminem song “Lose Yourself, from the movie 8 Mile, which both Taryn and Brittany both starred in. Manning then gave a shout out to her former costar.
“Let’s give it up for Brittany Murphy, one of my best friends who’s not with us anymore.”
Shortly after Manning dedicated the song to Brittany, the music suddenly stopped. During the awkward moment Taryn said hi to her friend.
“That was weird. Hi, Brittany”

Taryn Manning isn’t the only Hollywood star to have recently been visited by Brittany Murphy’s ghost. Jamie Pressly appeared in the new E! show Hollywood Medium, featuring Tyler Henry, where the clairvoyant host revealed Brittany was connecting with him.
‘We have a younger woman who’s stepping forward, who feels like she passed away too soon, and when she’s coming through, she’s making my lungs hurt quite, quite a bit. Mentally this feels strange, physically this feels strange. She’s blaming an outside influence and saying she was in a very manipulative situation, where I actually feel an outside person was detrimental in influencing a lot of her actions or inactions in certain areas.
Tyler goes on to reveal that the young woman has the initial “B”. Pressly is quick to remark that he is talking about Brittany Murphy. Jamie is clearly shocked, as the host continues on with his connection he is feeling with the late starlet. After the Mom actress, shares that she and Murphy ended their longtime friendship over Brittany’s husband Simon Monjack and his treatment of the Clueless star. It is obviously very emotional and powerful moment for Pressly, who looks completely caught off guard by what Tyler is telling her.
Actress Brittany Murphy was found dead in her Hollywood Hills mansion on December 20, 2009. She was only 32 years old at the time of her death. Brittany was best known for her role in the 90’s cult film Clueless. Her unexpected death labeled an accident and pneumonia was the cause. Despite the official autopsy ruling, there has still been speculation as to what really caused her death, especially when her husband Simon died less than six months later.
Brittany’s parents have both been vocal about their thoughts on what really caused their daughter’s death. Her father paid to have his own study done, that indicated there was a possibility that Murphy was poisoned. He appeared on to discuss how he believed that his daughter and her husband were both murdered. Britany’s mother has shared that she believes Brittany and Simon both died of natural causes and that no foul play was involved.
Is the talented Brittany Murphy’s ghost really haunting her Hollywood pals Taryn Manning and Jamie Pressly? That answer depends on what you believe and who you ask but hey it is Hollywood so anything is possible. It certainly makes for a good story though.
