The Aesthetica Art Prize 2016 is now open for entries, presenting a unique opportunity for emerging and established artists around the world to showcase their work to a wider, international audience. The 2016 award is accepting entries in Photographic & Digital Art, Painting & Drawing, Three Dimensional Design & Sculpture, and Video, Installation and Performance until 31 August.

Prizes include publication for all longlisted and shortlisted artists in a compelling book of 100 talented creatives. The shortlisted artists will also secure a place in a group exhibition taking place in spring 2017. The book is published to coincide with the show. Other prizes include a major cash prize of £5,000 for the Main Prize winner and £1,000 for the Student Prize winner courtesy of Hiscox and editorial in Aesthetica Magazine and via its online channels.

Last year’s Aesthetica Art Prize Exhibition, held at York St Mary’s in partnership with Yorkshire Museum, attracted thousands of visitors from across the UK and around the world, and also offered a dynamic series of talks by artists in the exhibition and curators. The exhibition invites visitors to engage with the very best in contemporary art, and is a chance for artists to expand their practice.
